Graduate Joint Academic Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the GJAC is to provide a means of communication between students and senior members of the Department. The minutes of GJAC meeings form a standing item at the termly Departmental Meetings for senior members of the Department, and the response of the Departmental Meetings forms a standing item at the GJAC meetings. Any postgraduate may raise issues at GJAC meetings, either through their representative or in person.Membership
Membership of the committee is comprised of one representative for MPhil students, one representative for PhD students, and two senior members.
Members of the committee for 2012-13 are:

- Rob Gallagher (PhD representative)
Any graduate of the Department may attend and speak at meetings, but only members of the committee may vote.
Elections
Elections are held in Michaelmas Term, and are conducted by the Departemental Office via e-mail
Meetings
The next meeting of the GJAC will be held at 1pm on Wednesday 28 November 2012 in SR25.
There will also be meetings in 2013 at 1pm on Wednesday 13 March in SR25 and 1pm on Wednesday 12 June in SR25.
