Research Interests
- Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Latin literature with a particular focus on the Exeter Book, the Old English Riddles and Latin enigmata.
- The history of the medieval romance and the study of English translations of Spanish romances.

- Elected member of the Advisory Board of ISAS (International Society of Anglo-Saxonists, 2012-15).
- Director of “From the Manuscript to the Printing Press: a Study of the Evolution of Riddles and Romances in England from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance,” research project financed by the Andalusian Government for the period 2010-14.
- Participation in “The Spanish Romances of Chivalry in English Translation: The Cases of Palmerin d’Oliva (1588) and Palmendos (1589)”, R&D project financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation for the period 2011-13.
- Participation in “The Printed History of the Middle English Verse Romances”, R&D project financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation for the period 2008-11.
