Unfortunately the ASNC Research Seminar scheduled for Friday, 26 October has had to be postponed due to illness. Dr Marie-Luise Theuerkauf will still give her lecture entitled The Pen is(n’t) Mightier than the Sword: Reading Dindṡenchas Poetry as Political Propaganda in Tenth and Eleventh-century Ireland at a later date; details of which will be confirmed shortly.

All ASNaCs past and present are very warmly invited to this year’s Alumni Reception in the Department (Saturday 22 September, 5.00 till 7.00 p.m.) It will include a short talk by Dr Elizabeth Rowe about her involvement in the video game ‘Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’.
