CELC (Cambridge Endangered Languages and Cultures Group) Seminar on Orkney Norn – 17 January 2014

Dr Ragnhild Ljosland (Lecturer in Nordic Studies, University of the Highlands and Islands) will be delivering a paper this coming Friday, 17 January 2014 as part of a seminar series hosted by the Cambridge Endangered Languages and Cultures Group, on the subject of ‘The problem of finding sources for study of Norn, the Scandinavian language of Caithness and the Northern Isles.’

Dr Ljosland’s visit to Cambridge has been made possible by a generous grant from the Managers of the Scandinavian Studies Fund. 

The seminar will take place at 5.15pm in GR04, English Faculty Building, 9 West Road. An abstract for the talk is available here.
