Máire Ní Mhaonaigh has been awarded a British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowship for 2016-17, for a project entitled ‘Viking Stereotypes and Medieval Irish Narrative: ‘Cogadh Gáedhel re Gallaibh, Text and Context’. The award will enable her to complete an edition with commentary of the twelfth-century narrative, Cogadh Gáedhel re Gallaibh (The War of the Irish against Foreigners).
