The Faculty is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the DFG-AHRC funded project, ‘The Íslendingasögur as Prosimetrum’, a collaborative project between the University of Cambridge and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. The post holder will be based in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at the University of Cambridge from 1 March 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Working in collaboration with the PIs and the project’s other postdoctoral researcher (who will be based in Tübingen), the Research Associate’s primary role will be the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the prosimetric texts of the Íslendingasögur. S/he will be expected to develop a monograph-length study on some aspects of saga prosimetrum. Together the postdoctoral researchers will co-edit a collection of essays arising from project workshops, which they will co-organise and to which they will contribute papers.
