Professor Máire Ní Mhaonaigh has been awarded a five-year research grant from the Leverhulme Trust for a project to study medieval Irish Dindshenchas (place-name narratives), entitled ‘Mapping the Medieval Mind: Ireland’s Literary Landscapes in a Global Space’. The project will commence in October of this year with Dr Marie Luise Theuerkauf and David McCay as researchers based in the Department.
