Congratulations to Dr Katherine Olley

Congratulations to Dr Katherine Olley who has been appointed Assistant Professor in Viking Studies in the School of English at the University of Nottingham, starting in September. Katherine graduated from ASNC in 2019 with a PhD on ‘Kinship and Narrative in Old Norse Literature: Parent-Child Relations in Mythic-Heroic Texts’, supervised by Professor Judy Quinn. Since then she has held the VH Galbraith Junior Research Fellow in Medieval Studies at St Hugh’s College Oxford and is currently Research Associate on BODY-POLITICS, an ERC-funded project hosted by the School of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Leicester.
