Alumni

Welcome to our alumni pages which aim to keep ASNaCs past and present in touch with the Department (and one another).

From the ASNC Alumni, Outreach and Fundraising Committee

We are immensely grateful to all the ASNC alumni who, over the past year, have made donations or given of their time and expertise. There are several goals on which we continue to focus, both large and long-term, and smaller-scale. Our priority project is to secure the permanent establishment of the Lectureship in Scandinavian History beyond 2012. We would like also to build up funds to help ASNC students with the growing cost of studying in Cambridge, by providing book- and travel-grants, and dissertation prizes, as well as establishing studentships for graduates in ASNC. In addition, we hope to set up a fund to cover the cost of future ASNC roadshows.

If you would like to find out more about our research and teaching or our future development plans, please contact us either electronically at asnc@cam.ac.uk or by post: Dept of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic, 9 West Road, Cambridge CB3 9DP, United Kingdom. The Department’s website (www.asnc.cam.ac.uk) has a special section dedicated to alumni, and for more information about the University’s future development, see www.alumni.cam.ac.uk/campaign.

We do like to keep alumni informed about our events, so if you are willing to receive occasional notifications from us (exclusively about ASNC), we would be grateful for a note of your email address. We are also always delighted to hear news that you would like to have reported in future newsletters, which can be sent to the Departmental Secretary at asnc@hermes.cam.ac.uk.
