About ASNC

The Department of ASNC is one of the smallest departments in the University. There are nine senior members (teaching staff), numerous research officers, about thirty graduate students (MPhil and PhD) and about eighty undergraduates. Administrative support is provided by the departmental secretary.

Facilities within the Department

ASNC is a department within the Faculty of English, and has its offices and Common Room on the second floor of the Faculty of English building, at 9 West Road, Cambridge. The building was opened by HM The Queen in June 2005.

The ASNC Common Room, with its associated facilities (two PWF Computers and a PWF printer, books and files for reference purposes, a ‘tea point’, and access to the terrace), is available for the use of members of the Department whenever the room is not being used for teaching purposes or for meetings. All eight of the senior members of the Department have offices on the ASNC corridor. Another office is frequented by our research officers.

Further administrative support for the Department is provided by the staff of the English Faculty, who are based on the first floor of the faculty building.

Other Information
