Job Vacancy: Research Associate (Fixed Term)

The Faculty is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the AHRC-funded project: Text and Meaning: Contributions to a Revised Dictionary of Medieval Irish, hosted jointly by the University of Cambridge and Queen’s University Belfast. The post holder will be based in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic, University of Cambridge from 1 July 2014 to 31 March 2019.

The post-holder should be educated to PhD level, with extensive research experience in language and/or editorial work in any period of medieval Irish. He/she should have excellent organisational skills and the proven ability to work to deadlines without close supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills and a close familiarity with common IT packages including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint are also essential, as is the ability to work as a team.
